La Costa Beach is a narrow residential strand in eastern Malibu, fronted by a tight row of beach houses that give it a private feel. Public access is via marked easements between the homes, and the wet sand below the high-tide line is open to all, but there are no facilities and little parking. It's a quiet spot for a walk along the water rather than a full beach day.
