Encinal Canyon Road winds inland from the western Malibu coast up into the Santa Monica Mountains, a quiet, scenic route through chaparral hillsides and canyon views that connects toward Mulholland Highway and the backcountry trailheads, parks, and wineries above town. Less trafficked than the main canyon roads, it's a peaceful way into the hills and a favorite of cyclists.
