One of the crown jewels of the Santa Monica Mountains, Malibu Creek State Park spreads over 8,000 acres of oak savanna, volcanic rock, and year-round creek inland from Malibu. Its trails lead to Century Lake, the dramatic Rock Pool, and the former filming site of the TV series M*A*S*H, where rusting set props still sit in a meadow. Popular for hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, and camping, it offers a rugged backcountry experience minutes from the coast. The main entrance is on Las Virgenes Road.
